Edward’s dream to start a surveying company began as the seed from which BESTCCLS was born. Now President and CEO, Edward Jones brings over a dozen years of expertise in the construction control and layout field to BESTCCLS to develop the company’s great reputation, customer base and financial growth. A surveying and construction professional involved with airport expansions, chemical weapons incinerators, gas fired power plants, light rail construction and so much more, Edward has an in-depth knowledge of quality control and field skills.

Also, Edward has a committed focus on providing superior customer service. At BESTCCLS, his responsibilities include marketing, contract negotiation, office administration and human resources.

Edward’s success is defined by his abilities to bring together men and women, with a common goal and complimentary skills.

STUART DALLAS, LSIT
Vice President / COO

Vice President and COO Stuart Dallas has led a solid career in the Land and Construction Survey field for nearly 30 years.

Stuart’s expertise and skills have been involved with large industrial projects, chemical weapons facilities, nuclear cleanup projects, coal mine reclamation, light rail construction and much more.

His primary responsibilities at BESTCCLS are to manage resources, assign project personnel, and negotiate contracts.

MICHAEL MOORE
Regional Project Manager

Our Regional Project Manager, Michael Moore, has more than 30 years experience surveying on large, complex projects. Other responsibilities include project management, design and contract plan review, field crew coordination and quality assurance.

Specifically, over the past 20 years Mike managed several projects in the $200 – $600 million range, including the Sound Transit Beacon Hill Light Rail Project, the Seahawks Stadium (Qwest Field), the Umatilla Chemical Weapons Incinerator, and the West Point Sewage Treatment Facility.

Even though his position does not require him to do so, Mike prefers to personally supervise the field crew that traverses the primary control around almost every major BESTCCLS project.

DON LOVETT, P.L.S.
Land Survey Manager

A licensed Land Surveyor in Washington State, Don Lovett also served as the Thurston County Surveyor for 5 years. He has over 20 years management experience planning and implementing the boundary and construction activities on a wide variety of municipal and private construction projects.

He specializes in project coordination and production of field to finish topographical surveys, photogrammetric planning and Geodetic GPS/RTK control surveys.

His work as a PLS has provided an extensive working relationship with many State and Local jurisdictions as well as private engineering firms and construction companies.

Don understands that the Land Surveying services and client relations are an integral part to any project.

Mr. Lovett brings a wealth of experience coordinating surveying activities and project management that assures engineering and construction services, from start to finish, are completed cooperatively and to plan.

JACOB EDMINSTER, P.L.S.
Land Surveyor

A licensed land surveyor in Washington state, Jacob Edminster brings to us strong experience in heavy construction, as well as land surveying.

While practicing land surveying, his duties have included: topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM surveys, timber surveys, right-of-way surveys and more by using conventional, GPS/RTK and robotic equipment.

In addition, his experience with heavy construction includes light rail projects, parking structures, waste management facilities, military housing units, and corrections facilities, as well as the necessary civil and utility layout associated with such projects.

ROBERT SANDERSON, LSIT
Project Manager

In addition to Robert Sanderson’s 30 years of field experience, he also has a B.A. in Business, which gives him a unique perspective in helping our clients manage their resources as economically as possible.

Also experienced with nuclear and gas fired power plants, freeway and bridge construction, airport expansions, hospital layout and high rise control, Robert’s responsibilities include project management, design and contract plan review, field crew coordination and quality assurance.

A list of the projects he has been involved with include: the SeaTac Airport South Terminal Expansion, the Seahawks Stadium, the Bellevue Technology Tower, the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, and the Good Samaritan Hospital. Currently Robert is managing the Consolidated Rental Car Facility for us at the Sea-Tac Airport.

FIELD PERSONNEL

BESTCCLS also employs a skilled and professional group of Survey Team Leaders, which includes: Rory Rayment, Jason Shaw, Lonnie Gert and Robert Smith.

Each of our Survey Team Leaders give 110% time, effort and ethics on any project. Our team leaders have proven to BESTCCLS that they can lead others at an intense pace from start to finish before they are placed on a project. Our team is constantly growing as current and new employees prove to us they have the necessary skills to meet and exceed our high standards for service and quality.
